Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Announces Wizard of OZ Hot Air Balloon Tour to Celebrate 70th Anniversary!

AeroSports, Inc. in partnership with THC Associates are working together with Warner Bros. Home Entertainment to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Wizard of OZ with a Hot Air Balloon Tour across the US during the Summer of 2009.

Warner Home Video is celebrating the 70th anniversary of The Wizard of Oz by launching a grand Wizard of Oz Hot Air Balloon Tour that will travel across the United States from Los Angeles to New York visiting cities and balloon festivals all across the United States to celebrate the anniversary. 

     First Hot Air Balloon Tour stop: The May 13 Ground Breaking Ceremony of the new Victory Junction Midwest Camp. The year-round, medical camp for children with chronic medical conditions and serious illnesses will be located on a 71-acre campus at 8205 Riverview Road, Kansas City, Kan.  The camp will operate solely on the donations from corporations, organizations and individuals, allowing campers to attend at no cost to their families.

     The OZ Balloon will be tethered (weather permitting) during the afternoon at the ground breaking ceremony.

Warner will also be releasing a limited and numbered DVD and Blu-ray Hi-Definition editions of the beloved film, packed with treasured collectibles and all-new bonus content later this year. 
 

About Victory Junction 

Victory Junction is a year-round camping environment for children ages six to 16 with chronic medical conditions or serious illnesses. Founded by Kyle and Pattie Petty in honor of their son Adam, the camp is located in Randleman, N.C., with a second location opening soon in Kansas City, Kan. Victory Junction offers programs for 24 disease groups and maintains strong relationships with 27 partner hospitals. Victory Junction’s mission is to provide life-changing camping experiences that are exciting, fun and empowering, in a safe and medically-sound environment. As a not-for-profit organization, the camp operates solely through the support of generous donors to provide this experience at no charge to children and their families.
